Subdrains should be per Subsections b) to f) ' <br />below. <br />b.Subdrains should consist of 4-inch diameter <br />Schedule 40, PVC pipe or equivalent, embedded in <br />approximately 3 ft3/linear foot of Class 2 <br />Permeable Material or equivalent, with the pipe <br />being 61 inches above the trench bottom; a gradient <br />of 11% being provided to the pipe and trench <br />bottom;discharging into suitably protected <br />outlets. <br />C.3/4-inch down open-graded gravel, enveloped in <br />Supac 5NP geofabric filter or equivalent, may be <br />used instead of the Class 2 Permeable Material. <br />d. Perforations in subdrains are )recommended as <br />follows:3/8-inch diameter, in 2 rows at the ends <br />of a 120' arc, at 3-inch centers in each row, <br />staggered between rows, placed downward. <br />e.Subdrains placed behind retaining walls should be <br />approved by the Geotechnical Consultant prior to <br />the placement of fill. <br />f.
