Fill materials generally consist of silty sand, <br />moderately moist and medium dense which appears to <br />be compacted to at least 90 percent of relative <br />compaction in the building area.However in the <br />proposed parking lot, the upper layer of fill <br />appeared to be loose at the time of our field work. <br />4.3 Natural Ground <br />The natural ground below the fill at the site consists <br />generally of silty sand, sandy silt and fine sand to a <br />depth of at least 40 feet, the maximum depth drilled in <br />our subsurface exploration. , <br />5.SEISMICITY <br />5.1 General <br />The site is located in the seismically active Southern <br />California region.There are, however, no known active <br />faults on or immediately adjacent to the site. The site <br />is located outside of any fault hazard zones as <br />designated by the Alquist-Priolo Special Studies Zones <br />Act of 1972.Figure 2 shows the site in relation to <br />known active faults. <br />--4 *- -- -- - A- ---
