Main St iee tAna, Ca. 92701 <br />Dear Mr. Theel: <br />Subject: Building Located at 311 North Main Street , Santa Ana <br />Described as 0range County Assessor's Parcel No.009-031-10 <br />0n Sep tember 26. 1983 the owner of record vas sent a letter which re- <br />classi.fied the buildj.ng referenced above from Ciass II (HLgh Risk ) to Class III <br />(Medium Risk) pursuant to the City's Seismic Safety Ordinance (Section 8-2000 <br />throuSh 8-2007 S.A,M.C. ) <br />This letter ls to i.nform you that under the provisions of the ordinance the olrner <br />is requj-red to provide a structural analysis prepared by a licensed structural <br />engj.neer, civil engineer or architect. This structural analysis, toS,ether uith <br />plans and calculations necessary for corrective work, is to be submitted to the <br />City's Departrnenl of Planning and Developnent Services for review by Ap ril 24, <br />1984. Permits required to accomplish the necessary structural alterations must <br />be obrained by July 29, 1984. The required alterati.ons nust conmence within one <br />hundred eighty (180) days from the date Ehe pernit is issued, and the building <br />must be correct€d to meet the minimum requirements of the ordinance not laEer <br />than July 29, t986. As you should be avare, this is lhe same information pro- <br />vided you in the original Notice and order sent to you on July 29, 1983. <br />The consequences of failing to comply wj.th any of the dates of the ordinance are <br />that you will be required to vacate lhe bullding and leave lt vacant until such <br />time that you have completed the seismic rehabilitation work or you may be required <br />to demolish the structure. In addltion, you may be subject to crininal or clvil <br />aclion taken by the City Attorney.
