APPENDIX A FIELD INVESTIGATION <br />Subsurface conditions were explored by drilling hand auger boring to a maximum depth of 5 feet at <br />approximate locations shown on the enclosed Site Plan. Upon completion of excavating, the boreholes <br />were backfilled with onsite soils that were removed from the excavations. <br />The drilling of the test boring was supervised by a geotechnical engineer, who continuously logged the <br />borings and visually classified the soils in accordance with the Unifled Soil Classification System. <br />Page 15
