<br />1. ALL INFORMATION SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS IS GIVEN AS THE BEST
<br />PRESENT KNOWLEDGE WITHIN GENERALLY ACCEPTED ENGINEERING
<br />PRACTICE BUT WITHOUT GUARANTEE OF ACCURACY. WHERE ACTUALLY
<br />CONDITIONS CONFLICT WITH THE DRAWINGS, THEY SHALL BE REPORTED TO
<br />THE ENGINEER SO THAT THE PROPER REVISIONS MAY BE MADE PRIOR TO
<br />PROCEEDING WITH THE WORK. MODIFICATIONS OF DETAILS OF

<br />SHALL IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT AND THE STRUCTURAL
<br />ENGINEER OF ANY DISCREPANCY OR OMISSION BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH
<br />THE WORK AND GET WRITTEN APPROVAL FOR ALTERNATE CONSTRUCTION.
<br />3.ALL WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF ALL REGULATING
<br />AGENCIES EXERCISING AUTHORITY OVER ANY PORTION OF THE WORK, I.E.
<br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA DIVISION OF INDUSTRIAL SAFETY AND CAL/OSHA, ETC.,

<br />4. ALL WORK SHALL CONFORM TO THE BEST PRACTICE PREVAILING IN THE

<br />5. THE DESIGN, ADEQUACY AND SAFETY OF ERECTION, BRACING, SHORING,
<br />TEMPORARY SUPPORTS, ETC., IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
<br />CONTRACTOR AND HAS NOT BEEN CONSIDERED BY THE ENGINEER.
<br />6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE SAFE AND ADEQUATE BRACES AND
<br />CONNECTIONS TO SUPPORT THE COMPONENT PARTS OF THE STRUCTURE
<br />UNTIL THE STRUCTURE ITSELF (INCLUDING THE ROOF AND FLOOR
<br />DIAPHRAGMS) IS COMPLETE ENOUGH TO ADEQUATELY SUPPORT ITSELF.
<br />7. SPECIFIC NOTES AND DETAILS SHALL TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER GENERAL
<br />NOTES AND TYPICAL DETAILS. OPTIONS, IF PROVIDED HEREIN, ARE FOR THE
<br />CONTRACTOR'S CONVENIENCE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE
<br />FOR ALL CHANGES NECESSARY, SHALL COORDINATE ALL DETAILS, SHALL
<br />OBTAIN ALL REQUIRED APPROVALS, AND PAY ALL COSTS INCIDENT THERETO.
<br />8. NO PIPES, DUCTS, SLEEVES, CHASES, ETC., SHALL BE PLACED IN BEAMS,
<br />SLABS, OR WALLS UNLESS SPECIFICALLY SHOWN OR NOTED. NOR SHALL

<br />STRUCTURE. MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT SHALL THEREFORE BE ISOLATED TO
<br />ELIMINATE VIBRATIONAL EFFECTS.
<br />13. WHERE DESIGN AND DETAIL OF PLATE GIRDERS, TRUSSES, ETC. IS TO BE
<br />PROVIDED BY THE FABRICATOR, CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT
<br />CALCULATIONS PREPARE BY A LICENSED CIVIL ENGINEER OR STRUCTURAL
