The system is comprised
of mounting rails attached to the roof with L-feet and uses mid clamps and end clamps to
secure the PV modules to the mounting rails. Bonding connections are made from module to
rail using bonding mid clamp, Module-to-rail fasteners that attach in the top rail channel, secure
module frames, and bond modules to the rail throughout a row. End clamps are also rated for
bonding module frames to mounting rails. Row-to-row bonding is acheived with bonding
jumpers, and the system requires one rail-mounted ground lug or grounding junction box per
section in order to electrically bond the modules to the system ground.
The Installer of the systems is responsible for following the installation manual for the
installation of the grounding lug and shall provide an appropriate method of direct-to-earth
grounding according to the latest edition of the National Electrical Code, including NEC 250:
Grounding and Bonding, and NEC 690: Solar Photovoltaic Systems. Any local electrical codes
must be adhered in addition to the national electrical codes.
Classic InvisiMount, Universal InvisiMount
ED 16.3.15 (1-Jul-2022) Mandatory
Report No. 105208800LAX-001
SunPower Corporation
Page 17 of 49 Issued: 18-Oct-2022
Revised: None
Illustration 1 - Classic InvisiMount - Approved Module List
Illustration 2 - Universal InvisiMount - Approved Module List
7.0 Illustrations
ED 16.3.15 (1-Jul-2022) Mandatory
939 W Fairbrook
Ln07/19/23
