FOR PROJECTS INCLUDING THE INSTALLATION OF ARCHITECTURAL DIMMING SYSTEMS, <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBCONTRACT A FACTORY AUTHORIZED TECHNICIAN TO <br />PERFORM THE FOLLOWING: <br />- TEST AND INSPECT COMPONENTS, ASSEMBLIES, AND EQUIPMENT INSTALLATIONS, <br />INCLUDING CONNECTIONS. <br />- STARTUP SERVICE INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO A COMPLETE INSTALLATION AND <br />STARTUP CHECKS ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER'S WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS, <br />CONFIRM CORRECT COMMUNICATION WIRING, AND PROGRAM THE LIGHTING <br />CONTROL SYSTEM ACCORDING TO THE APPROVED ZONE CONFIGURATIONS, <br />DIMMING SCHEDULES, TIME-OF-DAY SCHEDULES, AND INPUT OVERRIDE <br />ASSIGNMENTS. <br />- TRAIN OWNER'S MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL TO ADJUST, OPERATE, AND MAINTAIN <br />THE CONTROLS. <br />- WHEN REQUESTED WITHIN 1 YEAR FROM DATE OF SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION, <br />PROVIDE ON-SITE ASSISTANCE IN ADJUSTING SYSTEM TO SUIT ACTUAL OCCUPIED <br />CONDITIONS. PROVIDE UP TO 2 VISITS TO PROJECT DURING OTHER-THAN-NORMAL <br />OCCUPANCY HOURS FOR THIS PURPOSE. <br />62. FOR PROJECTS INCLUDING THE INSTALLATION OF LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEMS USING <br />OPERATING SYSTEM SOFTWARE, THE FOLLOWING SOFTWARE SERVICE AGREEMENT <br />SHALL BE INCLUDED: <br />- BEGINNING AT SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION, SERVICE AGREEMENT SHALL INCLUDE <br />SOFTWARE SUPPORT FOR 2 YEARS. <br />- AT SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION, SOFTWARE SHALL BE UPDATED TO THE LATEST <br />VERSION. SOFTWARE UPGRADES THAT BECOME AVAILABLE WITHIN 2 YEARS FROM <br />DATE OF SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION SHALL BE INSTALLED AND PROGRAMMED. <br />UPGRADING SOFTWARE SHALL INCLUDE OPERATING SYSTEM AND NEW OR REVISED <br />LICENSES FOR USING SOFTWARE. <br />63. CONTRACTOR TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PENETRATIONS, CORE DRILLING, <br />SEALING, WATERPROOFING, CUTTING, PATCHING, PAINTING AND RESTORATION FOR <br />THE COMPLETE CONTRACT WORK INDICATED. ALL RESTORATION WORK PERFORMED <br />BY THIS CONTRACTOR SHALL RESTORE EXISTING DISTURBED SURFACES TO <br />ACCURATELY MATCH ALL SURROUNDING CONSTRUCTION USING THE SAME MATERIAL, <br />WORKMANSHIP AND FINISH AS EXISTING SURFACES. <br />64. ALL PENETRATIONS THROUGH OR CHOPPING OF EXISTING FLOOR SLAB FOR <br />ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH BUILDING MANAGER. ALL <br />WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED AFTER NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS. LOCATIONS SHALL BE <br />LAID OUT AND CONFIRMED BY ARCHITECT PRIOR TO START OF PHYSICAL WORK. <br />65. WHENEVER EXCAVATION, CORE DRILLING OR CUTTING OF EXISTING SLABS, <br />CONCRETE OR PAVEMENT ARE PERFORMED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HIRE A <br />SPECIALIST TO PERFORM SUBSURFACE SCANS TO IDENTIFY AND FLAG UTILITIES, <br />REBAR, ETC. SO THEY ARE NOT DAMAGED. ANY DEVIATIONS FROM THE PENETRATIONS <br />INDICATED ON THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS MUST BE APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER OF <br />RECORD AND/OR OWNER. <br />66. DISCONNECT, REMOVE, RELOCATE AND RECONNECT ANY ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT <br />NOT SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS AS PART OF THIS CONTRACT BUT INTERFERING <br />WITH THE WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT. THIS WORK SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED <br />EXTRA AND SHALL BE DONE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER. <br />67. MAINTAIN CONTINUOUS SERVICE ON EXISTING FEEDERS SERVING THE AREAS <br />AFFECTED DURING ALL THE PERIOD THE AREA IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. NO <br />OUTAGES WILL BE PERMITTED IN THESE AREAS DUE TO THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE. <br />ALL WORK REQUIRING TEMPORARY SHUTDOWN SHALL BE PERFORMED AT NO <br />ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER. ANY REQUEST FOR SHUTDOWNS SHOULD BE <br />BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE AND BUILDING <br />OPERATING PERSONNEL AND IT MUST BE NOTIFIED 72 (SEVENTY-TWO) HOURS IN <br />ADVANCE. WORK SHALL NOT BE PERFORMED WITHOUT WRITTEN APPROVAL. <br />68. ALL WORK REQUIRING ELECTRICAL SHUTDOWN WHICH WILL AFFECT OTHER FLOORS <br />OF THE BUILDING OR EVEN AFFECT THE NORMAL CONTINUATION OF CONSTRUCTION <br />WORK ON THESE & OTHER FLOORS, SHALL BE DONE ON OVERTIME HOURS, AND SHALL <br />NOT DISTURB CONTINUITY OF ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO EXISTING TENANTS ON THE <br />AFFECTED FLOORS AND SHALL BE COORDINATED WITH THE BUILDING ENGINEER. <br />69.
