GEO-ETKA, INC. <br /> Job No.: F-12136-24 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />STANDARD <br />GEOTECHNICAL OBSERVATION & MATERIAL TESTING <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> <br />Observation & Testing <br /> <br />Compaction observations and testing, site inspections, meetings, and other testing will <br />be required throughout the construction, following are the typical items: <br /> <br />• Pre-construction meeting. <br />• Bottom inspection of all overexcavations. <br />• Testing during the compaction of the overexcavated area and the precise <br />grade. <br />• Footing excavations, prior to the pouring of concrete. <br />• After presoaking the slabs upgrade and prior to pouring concrete slabs <br />• During the construction of area drain and utility trenches <br />• Waterproofing, behind the retaining wall. <br />• Gravel pack, drainage system behind the retaining wall. <br />• Backfilling and compaction of the soil behind the retaining wall. <br />• Compaction of driveway’s subgrade soil. <br />• Compaction of subgrade road base materials. <br />• When any unusual conditions are encountered during any construction <br />operation subsequent to this report. <br /> <br />Pre-Grade Meeting <br /> <br />To avoid any possible delays or misinterpretations, a representative of our firm must <br />be notified to attend the pre-construction meeting with the grading contractor and the <br />city inspector to review the grading plans, the soil report, the site conditions, and any <br />potential changes prior to starting the grading. <br /> <br /> <br />Special Inspections <br /> <br />When required per the approved plans, a licensed deputy inspector should be <br />engaged for the steel, concrete, epoxy, welding, nailing and other required <br />inspections.
