Page 1 of 1 <br />EXISTING ONE & TWO FAMILY DWELLINGS <br />ELECTRICAL SERVICES UNDERGROUND <br />EXCEPTION <br />CEC 2022 ELC-04 <br />All new utility connections are required to be installed below grade by Santa Ana Municipal Code 41- <br />626(b). There is a standing exception for one and two family dwellings. This exception <br />applies only when the new electrical service is designed to be fed from below grade as well as <br />overhead. <br />This diagram is a typical unit. The utility is able to feed this cabinet from the top or the bottom without <br />interfering with the distribution wiring. All the circuit breakers and branch circuits are contained in the <br />circuit breaker side of this cabinet. <br />Only listed combination overhead and underground feed service boxes may be used to connect to <br />an overhead utility drop.
