b. Exposed sealant shall be field applied gun grade urethane or silicone sealant.
(Not By KINGSPAN INSULATED PANELS)
c. KINGSPAN INSULATED PANELS is not responsible for field installed vapor seal at joints and junctures.
d. KINGSPAN INSULATED PANELS is not responsible for vapor leaks caused by penetrations through
the panels
e. Cuts or notches through joints may require additional support framing. The panel will require thru-fastening
mending plates from top to bottom of elevation to maintain proper sealing procedure.
a. All trim shall be fabricated from G-90 or AZ50/Zincalume/Galvalume in gauge and finish to match
panel face.
b. All trim is fastened at 8" o.c. unless otherwise noted in the details.
a. Holes in panels for other trades to be cut, sealed and flashed by the trade concerned unless
otherwise noted on these drawings.
b. Openings which would reduce the structural strength of the panel are to be adequately reinforced
by others.
a. The face of all steel must be free of bolt and rivet heads, built up welds or other obstruction which
might interfere with bearing of panels on girts or purlins.
b. Girts for support of panels must extend to outer extremities of elevations and across face of columns
to which panels are applied.
c. All panels supports are to be true and plumb prior to erecting panels. Recommended wall tolerance
is 14" in any 20' direction. Recommend roof tolerance is 0" outward, 12" inward from plane
d. Assuming 14" ga. (Fy=36 ksi) steel supports.
The following specifications appear on shop drawings prepared by KINGSPAN INSULATED PANELS.
They are intended to be a guide for minimum acceptable installation procedures and to indicate the
quantity, size and materials specification of products furnished by KINGSPAN INSULATED PANELS, for
the described project. They should not be used to replace or supplant specifications or notes on structural
drawings. Materials shown on these drawings and specifications have been approved by KINGSPAN
INSULATED PANELS for the purpose shown.
Exercise care to maintain uniform side joints on all panels at each elevation.
