As <br />a result, footings nay be designed for an allowable bearing <br />value of 4,400 pounds per square foot for continuous footing, <br />provided they are placed to a ninimum width and depth of 18 <br />inches and 5r100 pounds for isolated footings. An increase <br />on 1/3 of the above bearing value for short duration load- <br />ing is perurissible. The use of rock base under <br />floor slabs rnay be onitted. <br />Linits of Certification <br />This report covers the grading perforned between the <br />dates of August 13, 1974 and August 24, !974. <br />Gene ral <br />The grading performed on this site was done in an <br />acceptable manner and in conformance with the Building Code <br />and the City of Santa Ana and in confornance with the stand- <br />ards specified by Federal Housing Administration. The <br />results of testing indicate that the fill has been conpacted
