The regular soil fill materials generally consisted of yellowish brown silty fine sand <br />with traces of clay. were placed in thin lifts. added water by using a water hose. and <br />compacted to 9070 relative density by using a Bobcat. <br />Conclusion:The demolition and backfilling of the pre-existing swimming pool is <br />considered geotechnically acceptable and suitable for the intended use for landscaping/ <br />non-structuraI purposes. <br />Note: If a structural object such as a room addition is to be constructed at or near the <br />su'imming pool backfill area in the future. a qualified geotechnical engineer should be <br />consulted and a soil repo( should be prepared for provision ol geotechnical <br />recommendations for foundation design. <br />If you have any questions or required clarification. please contact this office.
