ALL OTHER rTEMS ARE EXCLUDED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO SIGN CABINET FRAMING, AND EXISTING WALL <br />STRUCTURE AND ITS CAPACITIES, ANY MODIFICATIONS TO STC'S DESIGN SHALL BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY A LICENSED ENGINEER. <br />STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANTS (STC) DESIGN IS BASED ON DRAWINGS AND DIMENSIONS PROVIDED TO STC BY OTHERS. THE <br />MANUFACTURER AND INSTALLER SHALL VERIFY ALL FINAL DIMENSIONS AS SHOWN ON THE ENGINEERING DRAWINGS AND THE SHOP <br />DRAWINGS, AND SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE TO ENSURE THE FIT OF ALL COMPONENTS. <br />GENERAL NOTES: <br />1. ALUMINUM: GRADE 6061-T6 (Fty=35 KSI MIN.). <br />2. ROLLED STEEL / PLATE STEEL: ASTM A36 (Fy=36 KSI MIN.). <br />3. NUTS AND WASHERS SHALL BE USED WITH ALL FASTENERS AND SHALL BE COMPATIBLE WITH FASTENER SIZES, MATERIAL TYPES, AND <br />HOLE SIZES, IN ACCORDANCE WITH AISC SPECIFICATIONS, UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE. <br />4. THE MATERIAL/COATING TYPE USED FOR THE CORROSION RESISTANCE OF FASTENERS SHALL BE BASED ON EXPOSURE CONDITIONS <br />AND THE RECOMMENDATIONS SET FORTH BY AISC, IN ACCORDANCE WITH COMMON INDUSTRY PRACTICE. NO GUARANTEE TO <br />PREVENT CORROSION THROUGHOUT THE LIFE OF A STRUCTURE IS IMPLIED. FASTENERS SHALL BE MONITORED PERIODICALLY FOR <br />SIGNS OF DETERIORATION. <br />5. LAG SCREWS: ASTM A307 (Fu=58 KSI MIN.). INSTALLATION PER 2005 NDS. <br />6. THREADED RODS: ASTM A307 (Fu=58 KSI MIN.). <br />7. ALUMINUM WELDING: ALL WELDING SHALL BE PERFORMED BY AWS QUALIFIED WELDERS USING AWS APPROVED SYSTEMS AND <br />PROCEDURES, IN ACCORDANCE WITH AWS Dl.2/Dl.2M: 2008 STRUCTURAL WELDING CODE - ALUMINUM. <br />8. ALL FABRICATION SHALL OCCUR IN THE SHOP OF AN APPROVED FABRICATOR, AS DESIGNATED BY THE LOCAL BUILDING DEPARTMENT. <br />9. PROVIDE A PROTECTIVE COATING TO MINIMIZE CORROSION FOR ALL STEEL MEMBERS EXPOSED TO WEATHER, MOISTURE, OR SOIL. <br />10. PROVIDE ISOLATION OF DISSIMILAR MATERIALS INCLUDING A PROTECTIVE COATING FOR ALL ALUMINUM TO BE IN CONTACT WITH <br />STEEL OR CONCRETE. (EXAMPLE: NEOPRENE BARRIER, PLASTIC WASHER, ZINC COATING, OR SIMILAR.) <br />11.
