/ce/
Astra v.2.160
11/5/2025 09:58 AM CAT 1, EOSS
#AStamp
Subject: Structural Certification for Proposed Residential Solar Installation.
Job Number: 109R-852LIN; Rev A
Client: ANNICE LIN
Address: 1852 W Meadowbrook Dr, Santa Ana, CA 92704
Attn: To Whom It May Concern Signed on: 11/5/2025
A Sunrun representative has gathered site information on this structure in preparation for this permit application. A structural load evaluation
has been completed which compares the loads before and after the panel installation. For this structure, the calculated maximum roof load
after PV panel installation is less than the gravity and lateral load analysis triggers as set forth in the IEBC.
Based on an exterior inspection, this structure is performing adequately under the current loading. Prior to installation of the solar PV system,
a Sunrun representative will confirm that the attic roof framing has no unsafe or dangerous conditions present. Any localized items requiring
repair will be addressed as a part of the installation by the installing contractor and prior to installation.
Structural evaluation of the loading is based on the applicable design criteria listed below.
Design Criteria:
• 2022 CBC/CEBC, 7-16 ASCE & 2018 NDS
• Basic (Category II) Wind Speed V=96 mph, Exposure B
• Ground Snow Load = 0 psf
Based on this evaluation, I certify that the alteration to the existing structure by installation of the PV system meets the requirements of the
applicable existing building code provisions adopted/referenced above. Additionally, the PV module assembly and hardware supporting it have
been designed according to manufacturer's specifications per the loading criteria referenced above.
Installer shall inspect the existing roof framing to verify it is in suitable condition and does not exhibit signs of damage which may diminish the
capacity of its members or connections. If damage exists, the installer shall notify the engineer of record prior for guidance to proceeding with
installation.
Results Summary (Hardware Check Includes Uplift Check on Attachments/Fastener, Structure Check Considers Main Structure)
AR-01
Orientation Attachment Spacing/Cantilever Configuration Max DCR Result
Landscape 72 / 28 Staggered 35%Pass
Portrait 72 / 27 Staggered 37%Pass
Roofing Material Pitch Structure Check
Comp Shingle 30°Pass
AR-02
Orientation Attachment Spacing/Cantilever Configuration Max DCR Result
Landscape 72 / 28 Staggered 35%Pass
Portrait 72 / 27 Staggered 37%Pass
Roofing Material Pitch Structure Check
Comp Shingle 30°Pass
225 Bush St. Suite 1400 San Francisco, CA 94104
Exp. 12/31/2026
Digitally Signed On: 11/05/25
