October 30, <br />2025 NEWPORT STRUCTURAL DESIGN – PROJECT NUMBER 2025-1305 <br /> <br />Oven Analysis <br /> <br />A RISA-3D analysis model was built, and the self-weight of the oven was applied along with the <br />seismic force previously derived. It was solved for the following load combination in both <br />directions: <br />0.9*DL + 1.0*EL – 0.2*SDS*DL <br />The vertical supports were modeled as compression-only to reflect the fact that the oven panels <br />are not positively attached to the floor channel for uplift: <br /> <br />The maximum uplift was 0.03” which is negligible. <br /> <br />
