October 30, <br />2025 NEWPORT STRUCTURAL DESIGN – PROJECT NUMBER 2025-1305 <br /> <br />Existing Slab <br />The RISA-3D model of the oven was brought into RISAFoundation to analyze the existing floor slab. <br />The existing floor slab was modeled as 4” thick, 2500 psi, with #3 bars @ 18” o.c. each way. This is <br />a conservative assumption for an existing industrial slab of unknown actual thickness and <br />reinforcing. The slab was checked only to an extent 6” away from the oven walls and was found to <br />be adequate for soil bearing and strength. See Appendix A for the calculations. <br /> <br /> <br />Conclusion <br /> <br />The designs listed in this report will meet all the requirements of the 2022 California Building Code. <br /> <br /> <br />Matt Brown, S.E. <br />
