Layout with rails.perpendicular to rafters. <br />9 <br />For the L-feet being installed now, drill pilot <br />holes through the roofing into the center of <br />the rafter at each lag screw hole location. <br />Squirt sealant into the hole and onto the <br />shafts of the lag screws. Seal the underside <br />of the L-feet with a sealant. Securely fasten <br />the L-feet to the bitilding structure with the <br />lag screws.
