The investigation was made to provide site evaluation and de data or 2 <br />a e: <br />proposed new accessory dwelling units (ADU) to be constructed on the site. <br />SITE DESCRIPTION <br />The site, Assessor Parcel 100-573-34. <br />Latitude 33.749353 <br />Longitude-117.925833 <br />The subject property is a rectangular -shaped corner lot encompassing approximately 0.51 acre. It is <br />developed with a one-story, 2,729-square-foot single-family residence, originally constructed in 1960, <br />consisting of two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an attached garage. The lot measures approximately <br />75 feet along the north and south boundaries, and 300 feet along the east and west. <br />A one-story multi -unit structure is located on the north end of the property. The proposed ADUs are <br />planned for the vacant portion of land situated between the existing structures. <br />The surrounding neighborhood consists primarily of single-family, wood -framed homes situated on <br />smaller sized parcels. <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Our scope of work consists of field and laboratory programs to evaluate the physical and engineering <br />properties of the onsite soils. <br />Description of the exploration and laboratory programs are presented below. <br />EXPLORATION AND FIELD INVESTIGATION PROGRAMS <br />On May 5, 2025, a field exploration was performed, which consisted of 2 borings in the approximate <br />locations of the proposed ADU. <br />Hole #1 was drilled to a depth of 10 ft. The equipment used was a hand operated power auger with <br />extensions. Moisture tests taken at 22" was 20.8%, and at 74" was 18.9%. <br />Ring samples taken at 2ft and bulk sample taken at 5 ft. for laboratory testing. <br />The soil encountered was dark gray sand. <br />The description of the subsurface soil and the depth of boring # 1 are shown in Boring Log C 1. <br />Hole #2 was drilled to a depth of 5ft. The equipment used was a hand operated power auger with <br />extensions. Moisture tests taken at 24" was 17.8% and at 60" was 14.8%. <br />Ring samples taken at 2 ft and bulk sample taken at 5 ft. for laboratory testing. <br />The soil encountered was dark gray sand. <br />The description of the subsurface soil and the depth of boring #2 are shown in Boring Log C2. <br />
