Round 1 Bowling and Amusement 12/09/2024 Paradigm Design <br />Main Place Mall Expansion Grand Rapids, MI <br />Santa Ana, California <br />Project #2309147GR <br />GENERAL AND SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT 00 7000 - 1 <br />ed. 2023-09-22 <br />DOCUMENT 00 7000 - GENERAL AND SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT <br />STANDARD AIA FORMS <br />The “General Conditions of the Contract for Construction” (Standard AIA Form A-201-2017 edition of the <br />American Institute of Architects), Article 1 through 15 and as herein added to and amended are a part of the <br />Contract Documents and shall apply to all contractors, separate Contractor and/or Subcontractors. Where a <br />portion of the General Conditions is modified or deleted by these supplementary conditions, the unaltered <br />portion of the general conditions shall remain in effect. <br />Copies of said General Conditions are on file at Architect's office or may be obtained from the American <br />Institute of Architects, 1735 New York Avenue N.W., Washington, D.C. 20006-5292. <br />General Conditions are hereby added to and amended in certain particulars as follows: <br />ADD TO ARTICLE 1, GENERAL PROVISIONS, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.1.1.1 The form of agreement which will be Standard Form of Agreement between Owner and <br />Contractor A101-2017. <br />1.1.5.1 Figures provided on Drawings govern manual scaling of the Drawings, and large-scale figures <br />govern small scale figures. Discrepancies shall promptly be brought to the attention of <br />Architect for interpretation and Architect's decision shall govern. <br />1.1.5.2 Contractor, Subcontractors, and Sub-subcontractors shall provide all items of Work complete, <br />unless indicated on drawings or herein specified to the contrary. If drawings and specifications <br />disagree in themselves or with each other, Contractor shall promptly bring the apparent <br />disagreement to the attention of the Architect and estimate on and furnish greater quantity or <br />better quality unless otherwise instructed by Architect. <br />1.2.3.1 If there are any questions about the Architect’s intent by its use of particular wording(s), <br />Contractor shall promptly seek clarification from Architect before proceeding with Work. Any <br />Work done by Contractor without obtaining such clarification will be one at Contractor’s risk, <br />and removal, remediation and/or replacement of such Work will be performed at the discretion <br />of the Architect and Owner and at Contractor’s sole expense without reimbursement. <br />AMEND OR ADD TO ARTICLE 3, CONTRACTOR, AS FOLLOWS: <br />3.3.4 The Contractor and authorized representatives shall attend all meetings as requested and <br />scheduled by the Architect. <br />3.7.1.1 General Contractor shall submit plans and specifications to Building Inspector and/or any other <br />department having jurisdiction over work and shall obtain and pay for examination fees, <br />general building permits and any other fees required by said departments. Similarly, each <br />contractor shall procure all necessary permits and certificates, pay all fees, and arrange for all <br />necessary inspections required by State, County or City authorities. Any work done on the <br />project without securing applicable permits for that work will be done at the Contractor's risk.
