Geotechnical Investigation Report 03/11/2025 <br />2234 S Lowell St., Santa Ana, CA 92707 Page | 1 <br /> <br />Geotechnical Investigation Report <br />Detached ADU <br />2234 S Lowell St., Santa Ana, CA 92707 <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />This report presents the results of the geotechnical investigation conducted for the subject <br />project. The purpose of this investigation was to: <br /> 1) Determine the type and condition of the earth materials at the site. <br /> 2) Determine soil strength parameters. <br /> 3) Determine groundwater conditions. <br /> 4) Evaluate geologic and seismic conditions at the site. <br /> 5) Liquefaction potential evaluation and <br /> 6) Provide recommendations for the proposed structures. <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />The scope of work for this geotechnical investigation consisted of the following: <br />- Review of the project plans. <br />- Perform field and laboratory testing. <br />- Determine the current and the historical high groundwater elevations. <br />- Evaluate geologic and seismic conditions at the site. <br />- Evaluation of liquefaction potential (if warranted based on the estimated groundwater depth). <br />- Presentation of findings, conclusions, and recommendations for the proposed project. <br /> <br />SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />The project site is a developed rectangular lot covering an area of 6667 S.F., developed with an <br />existing 1288 S.F. single family residence, located on S Lowell Street in Santa Ana as shown in <br />the aerial imagery Figure-1. The existing garage and storage will be demolished for the <br />construction of the proposed ADU. The new 1000 S.F. ADU is proposed in the backyard as <br />shown in the site plan Figure-2.
