The northeast property line is 105ft long and southwest <br />property lines are 115 ft long. The southeast property line is 53ft long and northwest property lines is <br />48 ft long. The existing residence is a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom, 1 story, single family home on a <br />corner lot, 1155 sq ft structure, built in 1954 with a detached garage, flat lot with perimeter block wall <br />and concrete throughout corner lot. <br />Surrounding houses are composed of single family, wood framed, residential structures on similar size <br />lots. <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Our scope of work consists of field and laboratory programs to evaluate the physical and engineering <br />properties of the onsite soils. <br />Description of the exploration and laboratory programs are presented below. <br />EXPLORATION AND FIELD INVESTIGATION PROGRAMS <br />On May 1, 2024, a field exploration was performed, which consisted of 2 borings, in the approximate <br />location of the proposed ADU. Prior to the exploration it had been raining the week before and soil <br />was very moist, and eventually reached ground water. <br />Hole #1 was drilled to a depth of 10 ft. Equipment used was a hand operated power auger with <br />extensions. Moisture tests taken at 12" was 19.5%, at 24" was 41.8% and at 82" was 19.8%. <br />Ring samples taken at 5ft and bulk sample taken at 10 ft. for laboratory testing. <br />The soil encountered was brown silty clay. <br />The description of the subsurface soil and the depth of boring #1 are shown in Boring Log Cl. <br />Hole #2 was drilled to a depth of 5 ft. Equipment used was a hand operated power auger with <br />extensions. Moisture tests taken at 12" was 24.7%, at 24" was 43.2% and at 60" was 15.1 %. <br />Ring samples taken at 3 ft and bulk sample taken at 5 ft. for laboratory testing. <br />The soil encountered was brown silty clay. <br />
