Based on Table 19.3.1.1 ofACI 318-14, the Exposure <br />Class S1 is appropriate for onsite soils. Water cement ratio (0.50) shall be adjusted to produce a low <br />slump (<3inches>) mix. Concrete specifications may be changed by the Structural Engineer. <br />Type V cement is not required but is recommended for use. Strength should be 4000 psi. <br />Expansive Soil <br />The soil found on this site consists of silty sand. The soil found on the site is not expansive. A <br />modified test in the laboratory and the condition of the concrete paving and foundations on site show <br />no signs of expansive reaction in the soil. <br />3 <br />
