<br />2. IF GEOTECHNICAL REPORT OR CIVIL DWGS. ARE AVAILABLE, CONTRACTOR SHALL REVIEW AND FOLLOW
<br />THE GEOTECHNICAL REPORT AND CIVIL DWG. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SOIL SUBGRADE AND SOG.
<br />3. IN THE ABSENCE OF GEOTECHNICAL REPORT, OR CIVIL REPORT AND DWGS. THE DETAILS SHOWN ON
<br />THESE DWGS. MAY BE CONSIDERED BY THE OWNER/GC ON THEIR OWN RISK. STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

<br />3.1. SOG AND FOUNDATIONS SHALL BE CONTINUOUSLY SUPPORTED ON UNDISTURBED OR ENGINEERED
<br />FILL SOIL.
<br />3.2. THE AREA WITHIN THE SOG AND FOUNDATION WALLS SHALL HAVE ALL VEGETATION, TOP SOIL AND
<br />FOREIGN MATERIAL REMOVED.
<br />3.3. FILL MATERIAL SHALL BE FREE OF VEGETATION AND FOREIGN MATERIAL. THE FILL SHALL BE
<br />COMPACTED TO ENSURE UNIFORM SUPPORT OF THE SOG, FOUNDATION, AND THE FILL DEPTHS SHALL NOT
<br />EXCEED 24 IN FOR CLEAN SAND OR GRAVEL AND 8 IN FOR EARTH.
<br />3.4. AT SOG AREA, REINFORCING STEEL SHALL BE SUPPORTED TO REMAIN IN PLACE FROM THE CENTER TO
<br />MIDDLE FOURTH OF THE SLAB FOR THE DURATION OF THE CONC. PLACEMENT.
<br />3.5. SCARIFY TOP 12" OR RECOMPACT 4' OVEREXCAVATION PRIOR TO TRENCHING FOR THE UTILITY
<br />AND/OR FOUNDATION. 90% COMPACTION REPORT IS REQUIRED AT THE OF FOUNDATION INSPECTION.
