CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: XX-XXXX <br />PROJECT TITLE <br /> <br />73 <br />3.02 PROJECT PHASING AND LANE REQUIREMENTS <br />The contractor shall construct the project in the following phases: <br />A. Outside – Inside: <br /> Phase I: All work on the outside lane including curb, gutter, sidewalk, and bus <br />pads. Maintain left turn lane and two through lane in each direction at all times. <br /> Phase II: All work in the middle portion of the street. Maintain two through lane <br />in each direction at all times. Keep left turn lane open at intersection until <br />construction is at the left turn lane or at the intersection. <br />B. One side – Other side: <br /> Phase I: All work on one side of the street including curb, gutter, sidewalk, and <br />bus pads. Maintain left turn lane and two through lane in each direction at all <br />times. The side of the roadway that requires widening will usually be Phase I. <br /> Phase II: All work on the other side of the street including curb, gutter, sidewalk, <br />and bus pads. Maintain two through lane in each direction at all times. Keep left <br />turn lane open at intersection until construction is at the left turn lane or at the <br />intersection. <br />C. One side – Other side – Middle: <br /> Phase I: All work on one side of the street including curb, gutter, sidewalk, and <br />bus pads. Maintain left turn lane and two through lane in each direction at all <br />times. The side of the roadway that requires widening will usually be Phase I. <br /> Phase II: All work on the other side of the street including curb, gutter, sidewalk, <br />and bus pads. Maintain two through lane in each direction at all times. Keep left <br />turn lane open at intersection until construction is at the left turn lane or at the <br />intersection. <br /> Phase III: All work in the median area that was not able to be done using the <br />previously mentioned methods. Maintain two through lane in each direction at all <br />times.
