CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO.: XX-XXXX <br />PROJECT TITLE <br /> <br />211 <br />Foundation dimensions are based on the poles and fixtures specified. Place <br />foundation reinforcing steel as noted on drawings. Reinforcing steel shall be ASTM <br />A605, Grade 60; test is required. Call for steel placement inspection when ready. <br />Foundation holes shall be inspected by Engineer prior to pouring concrete. Structural <br />notes on drawings govern over these specifications. <br />Concrete: All concrete shall be per Section 1.12, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC), <br />of these Special Provisions. <br />Aggregates: Aggregates shall be per Section 1.01, Rock Products, of these Special <br />Provisions. <br />Transit-Mixed Concrete: The Contractor may use transit-mixed concrete in lieu of <br />concrete manufactured on the site, provided the materials used in its manufacture <br />comply with the requirements of these specifications. <br />The manufacturer of the transit-mixed concrete shall deliver to the Inspector on the <br />work, a certificate with each mixer truck stating the quantity of cemen t, water, fine <br />and coarse aggregate. Certificate shall be certified at batch plant that it meets these <br />requirements. <br />Transit-mixed concrete shall not be delivered to the work with the total specified <br />amount of water incorporated; two and one-half gallons of water per cubic yard shall <br />be withheld, and may be incorporated before the concrete is discharged under the <br />supervision of the Engineer. <br />The Contractor shall not re-temper any concrete or use any concrete that has stood <br />more than 15 minutes after leaving the mixer. <br />Grout: Use non-shrink structural grout under pole bases and to form pole cap. <br /> <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
