Delhi Community Center Library Renovation 9/29/2023 <br />Santa Ana, California <br /> <br /> <br /> 01 30 00 - 1 Information and Procedures <br /> <br />SECTION 01 31 10 <br />INFORMATION AND PROCEDURES INSTRUCTIONS (RFI) <br />PART 1 – GENERAL <br />1.1 SUMMARY <br />A. This Section contains procedures to be followed by Contractor upon discovery of any <br />apparent conflicts, omissions, or errors in Contract Documents or upon having any <br />question concerning interpretation. <br />B. Alternate: At the Owners option, Utilize the standard forms, procedures, contracts <br />and / or agreements, preferred by the owner, in lieu of the methods described herein. <br /> <br />1.2 PROCEDURES <br />A. Requests for clarification or additional information shall be submitted in writing to <br />Architect using a Request for Information (RFI) form approved by Architect. <br />B. RFIs shall be numbered sequentially. RFI number shall be followed by a <br />sequential numerical suffix as necessary for each resubmission. For example, <br />first RFI would be 001. Second RFI would be 002 and first resubmittal of RFI 002 <br />would be 002.1. <br /> <br />C. Each RFI shall be limited to ONE subject. <br />D. An RFI shall be submitted if one of following conditions occur: <br />1. Contractor discovers an unforeseen condition or circumstance that is not <br />described in Contract Documents. <br />2. Contractor discovers an apparent conflict or discrepancy between <br />portions of Contract Documents that appears to be inconsistent or is not <br />reasonably inferred from intent of Contract Documents. <br />3. Contractor discovers what appears to be an omission from Contract <br />Documents that cannot be reasonably inferred from intent of Contract <br />Documents. <br /> <br />E. Contractor shall not: <br />1. Submit an RFI as a request for substitution. <br />2. Submit an RFI as a submittal. <br />3. Submit an RFI under pretense of a Contract Documents discrepancy or <br />omission without thorough review of documents. <br /> <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
