Definitions. <br />B. Specification format and content. <br />C. Industry standards. <br />D. Codes and standards. <br />E. Governing regulations/authorities. <br />1.2 DEFINITIONS <br />A. General: Basic contract definitions are included in the General Conditions. <br />B. Regulations: Includes laws, ordinances, statutes, and lawful orders issued by authorities <br />having jurisdiction, as well as rules, conventions, and agreements within the construction <br />industry that control performance of the work. <br />1.3 SPECIFICATION FORMAT AND CONTENT <br />A. Specifications are organized into Divisions and Sections based on the construction <br />Specifications Institute's 16-Division format and Master format numbering system. <br />B. The sections are placed in the Project Manual in numeric sequence; however, this <br />sequence is not complete, and the Table of Contents of the specifications must be <br />consulted to determine the total listing of sections. <br />C. The section title is not intended to limit the meaning or content of the section, nor to be <br />fully descriptive of the requirements specified therein. <br />D. The organization of the specifications shall not control the division of the work among <br />subcontractors or establish the extent of work to be performed by any trade. <br />E. Specifications use certain conventions regarding style of language and the intended <br />meaning of certain terms, words, and phrases when used in particular situations or <br />circumstances. These conventions are: <br />1. Language used in Specifications and other Contract Documents is abbreviated. <br />Words and meanings shall be interpreted as appropriate. Words that are implied, <br />but not stated, shall be interpolated as the sense requires. Singular words shall <br />be interpreted as plural and plural words interpreted as singular where applicable <br />to maintain the context of the Contract Document indicated. <br />505 E Central Ave <br />#B11/6/2024
