THE SHRINKAGE CRACKS SHALL BE <br />INJECTED WITH HIGH PRESSURE EPOXY TO THE GREATEST DEPTH <br />POSSIBLE. <br />STRUCTURAL SHOTCRETE <br />1.SHOTCRETING SHALL CONFORM TO ALL REQUIREMENTS OF <br />”SPECIFICATIONS FOR MATERIALS, PROPORTIONS, AND APPLICATION OF <br />SHOTCRETE” (ACI--506.2, LATEST EDITION). <br />2.PORTLAND CEMENT SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM C--150, TYPE I OR II, <br />ALKALI CONTENT NOT TO EXCEED 0.6G WHEN §5 OR SMALLER BARS ARE <br />USED, THERE SHALL BE A MINIMUM CLEARANCE BETWEEN PARALLEL. <br />3.REINFORCEMENT BARS OF 2 1/2” INCHES. REBOUND <br />SHALL NOT BE USED AS AGGREGATE. <br />6.UNFINISHED W0RK SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAND FOR MORE THAN <br />30 MINUTES UNLESS ALL EDGES ARE SKIPPED T0 A THIN EDGE. BEFORE <br />PLACING ADDITIONAL MATERIEL ADJACENT TO PREVIOUSLY APPLIED <br />WORK, SLOPING AND SQUARE EDGES SHALL BE CLEANED AND WETTED. <br />7.IN PLACE SHOTCRETE WHICH EXHIBITS SAGS OR SLOUGHS, <br />SEGREGATION, HONEYCOMBING, SAND POCKETS OR OTHER OBVIOUS <br />DEFECTS SHALL BE REMOVED AND REPLACED. SHOTCRETE ABOVE SAGS <br />AND SLOUGHS SHALL BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WHILE SILL PLASTIC. <br />8.DURING THE CURING PERIODS SPECIFIED HEREIN. <br />9.SHOTCRETE SHALL BE MAINTAINED ABOVE 40 DEGREE F AND IN MOIST <br />CONDITION. <br />10.IN INITIAL CURING, SHOTCRETE SHALL BE KEPT CONTINUOUSLY MOIST <br />FOR 24 HOURS AFTER PLACEMENT IS COMPLETE. <br />11.FINAL CURING SHALL CONTINUE FOR 7 DAYS AFTER SHOTCRETING FOR 3 <br />DAYS IF HIGH EARLY STRENGTH CEMENT IS USED, OR UNTIL THE <br />SPECIFIED STRENGTH IS OBTAINED. <br />12.FINAL CURING SHALL CONSIST OF A FOG SPRAY OR AN APPROVED <br />MOISTURE RETAINING COVER OR MEMBRANE. <br />13.IN SECTIONS OF A DEPTH IN EXCESS OF 12 INCHES, FINAL CURING SHALL <br />BE THE SAME AS THAT FOR INITIAL CURING. <br />14.STRENGTH TEST FOR SHOTCRETE SHALL BE MADE BY AN APPRO\/ED <br />AGENCY ON SPECIMENS MICH ARE REPRESENTATIVE OF AND IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH THE IBC. <br />15.WHEN SHOTCRETE IS USED FOR STRUCTURAL MEMBERS, A SPECIAL <br />INSPECTOR IS REQUIRED.
