Join piping made of different materials or dimensions with couplings made for this applica- <br />tion. Use couplings that are compatible with and fit both systems' materials and dimensions. <br /> <br />4.7 TRENCH DRAINAGE SYSTEM INSTALLATION <br />A. <br />A. Assemble and install components according to manufacturer's written instructions and as indi- <br />cated. <br /> <br />B. Assemble and install components according to manufacturer's written instructions, ASME <br />A112.3.1, and as indicated. <br /> <br />C. Install with top surfaces of components, except piping, flush with final finished surface. <br /> <br />D. Assemble channel sections to form slope down toward drain outlets. Use sealants, adhesives, <br />fasteners, and other materials recommended by system manufacturer. <br /> <br />E. Embed channel sections and appurtenances in a 4-inch (100-mm) minimum depth of concrete <br />around bottom and sides. <br /> <br />F. Fasten grates to channel sections if indicated. <br /> <br />G. Assemble trench sections with flanged joints. <br /> <br />H. Embed trench sections and appurtenances in a 4-inch (100-mm) minimum depth of concrete <br />around bottom and sides. <br /> <br />I. Make piping connections and install stainless-steel piping with gasketed joints between sys- <br />tem components. <br />4.8 MANHOLE INSTALLATION <br />A. General: Install manholes, complete with appurtenances and accessories indicated. <br />B. Install precast concrete manhole sections with sealants according to ASTM C 891. <br />C. Set tops of frames and covers flush with finished surface of manholes that occur in pavements. <br />Set tops 3 inches above finished surface elsewhere, unless otherwise indicated. <br />4.9 CATCH BASIN INSTALLATION <br />A. Set frames and grates to elevations indicated. Ensure catch basin walls are properly sealed at the <br />drain pipe penetrations. <br />B. Use extension rings if needed to achieve the necessary invert elevations.
