Illumination Foundation <br />Santa Ana, California <br />Hydrology Report <br />by TAIT & Associates <br />TAIT JOB # SP9104 Page 1 <br />Section 1 Introduction and Background <br />The client, West Group Designs, has retained Tait & Associates (Tait) to prepare the drainage <br />design for the Illumination Foundation. The Illumination Foundation project is approximately <br />0.9 acres and it is located in the City of Santa Ana, California specifically northeast of the Hazard <br />Avenue and N Bewley Street intersection. The proposed project Vicinity Map is provided in <br />Figure 1 below. The Hydrology Report studies the existing and proposed condition drainage <br />system and patterns, and it follows the requirements of the Orange County Hydrology Manual <br />(OCHM), dated 1986 and its Addendum No. 1, dated 1996. It was prepared for the 25- and 100- <br />year existing and proposed condition storm events. The following sections include the general <br />project characteristics, the drainage design, criteria and methodology, and results. <br />1.1 Project Description <br />The Illumination Foundation development is proposed for residential uses. It includes a <br />preschool, two 2-story buildings, and a storage shed. This development will take place on a 0.9 - <br />acre lot. Immediately west of the project there is a car dealer and car rental location. On the <br />east, north, and south sides there are residential areas.
