Timber <br />a.) All posts and beams are DF#1 U.O.N. (Fb = 1000 psi, Fv = 180 psi, E = 1700000 psi for <br />dimension lumber), studs and plates are construction grade. <br />b.) All roof and ceiling joists are DF#2 U.O.N. (Fb = 900 psi, Fv = 180 psi, E = 1700000 psi for <br />dimension lumber) <br />c.) All PSLs are grade 2.0E (Fb = 2900 psi, Fv = 290 psi, E = 2000000 psi). <br />d.) ALL LVLs are grade 2.0E (Fb = 2600 psi, Fv = 285 psi, E = 2000000 psi). <br />e.) All existing wood is assumed to be DF #2 Struct. (Fb = 1300 psi, Fv = 90 psi, E = 1500000 psi) <br />2. Plywood grade, thickness. CDX or Type 2-M-W OSB <br />3. Plywood nailing schedule and diaphragm, shear wall design values. <br />4. Concrete, f’c= 4000 psi for all normal weight concrete. <br />5. Rebar is ASTM A615, Grade 60 U.O.N. <br />6. Structural Fasteners <br />a.) Erection, grouted, and timber connection bolts are ASTM A307, Grade A. <br />b.) High strength bolts are ASTM A325. <br />c.) Anchor rods and anchor bolts are ASTM F1554, Grade 55. <br /> <br />Fabricated Items <br /> <br />1. Hilti KB-TZ expansion anchors per manufacturer’s instructions. <br />2. Epoxy anchors use Hilti Hit-HY 200. <br />3. Simpson catalogue pages for wood straps.
