City of Santa Ana Public Library Renovation <br />Group 4 Architecture Research + Planning, Inc.Smith, Fause & McDonald Inc. <br />Group 4 Project No. 22575-01 Conform Set – August 2, 2024Bid Set Addendum-03 – June 05 <br />INTEGRATED AUDIOVISUAL SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT SECTION 27 4116-1 <br />SECTION 27 4116 - AUDIOVISUAL SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 SECTION INCLUDES <br />A.Provide all labor, materials, transportation and equipment to complete the furnishing, <br />installation, assembly, set up, and testing of the Sound and Audiovisual System work <br />indicated on the drawings and specified herein. Notwithstanding any detailed information in <br />this Section, provide complete, working systems. <br />B.Design, engineer and provide complete, all means of support, suspension, attachment, <br />fastening, bracing, and restraint (hereinafter "support") of the Work of this Section. Provide <br />engineering of such support by parties licensed to perform work of this type in the Project <br />jurisdiction. <br />1.2 SYSTEM FUNCTIONS <br />A.Provide the following, in addition to work shown on the drawings and specified in Parts 2 and <br />3 below: <br />B.Loudspeaker/Audio Processing, general <br />1.Program audio and speech content to output through overhead loudspeakers. <br />C.Racking compartment, general <br />1.Provide blank plates at all unused openings. <br />2.Provide fans as required to keep the interior of each equipment rack at a temperature <br />of at least 5-10 degrees cooler than equipment manufacturer's recommended <br />operating temperature. <br />a.Fans to not emit more noise than 30 dB. <br />D.Controls Systems, general <br />1.Review all push button and touchpanel button nomenclature with City's <br />Representative prior to system programming. <br />2.Provide graphic indication of program volume level on control touchpanel when <br />volume control is selected. <br />3.Provide Main menu selection button on all touchpanel screens to route user back to <br />main touchpanel menu. <br />E.Control Functions <br />1.Control: Confirm all control functions and layouts with City's Representative prior to <br />system programming. <br />2.Wall Control: <br />a.General: Functions to operate by scene/mode, not by device. <br />1)End user selection of a single A/V input source (push buttons) <br />automates: <br />a)Projection screens lower <br />b)Projectors turn on <br />c)Presets recalled <br />d)Sets audio chain to loudspeakers <br />2)End user selection on an Audio Only input automates: <br />a)Sets audio chain <br />3)Control Push Button Selections <br />a)Audio Mute
