<br /> <br /> <br /> 1 Parsons-1-01 <br /> <br /> <br />GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION REPORT <br />PROPOSED ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT <br />1301 NORTH PARSONS PLACE <br />Santa Ana, California <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />This report presents the results of our geotechnical study performed by GeoBoden, Inc. <br />(GeoBoden) for the Proposed Accessory Dwelling Unit on the subject site. The general location <br />of the project is shown on Figure 1, “Site Vicinity Map”. <br />The purposes of this study were to determine the geotechnical properties of subsurface soil <br />conditions, to evaluate their in-place characteristics, evaluate site seismicity, and to provide <br />geotechnical recommendations with respect to design and construction of the proposed <br />improvements. <br />The scope of the authorized investigation included performing a site reconnaissance, <br />conducting field exploration and laboratory testing programs, performing engineering analyses, <br />and preparing this Geotechnical Investigation Report. Evaluation of environmental issues or <br />the potential presence of hazardous materials was not within the scope of services provided. <br />2.0 SITE LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION <br />The subject site is located at 1301 North Parsons Place in Santa Ana, California. At the time of <br />field exploration, the site was occupied by a single-family residence. The Accessory Dwelling <br />Unit will consist of construction of the new building. No basement is planned for the new <br />construction. The new building will be of maximum two-story with slab on-grade. <br />3.0 GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION <br />Our geotechnical investigation included a field exploration program and a laboratory testing <br />program. These programs were performed in accordance with our scope of services. The field <br />exploration and laboratory testing programs are described below.
