Means shall be provided to Disconnect all ungrounded dc conductors <br />of a PV system from all other conductors in a building or other structure. (NFPA 70 Art. 690.13) <br />2. Note on plans. Each PV system disconnecting means shall be permanently marked to identify it as a PV system disconnect. (NFPA 70 Art. <br />690 13 (B)) <br />3. Note on plans. Means shall be provided to disconnect equipment, such as inverters, batteries, and charge controllers, from all ungrounded <br />conductors of all sources. If the equipment is energized from more than one source, the disconnecting means shall be grouped and identified. <br />(NFPA 70 Art.690.15) <br />4. Note on plans. Spacing between labels or markings, or between a label and a <br />marking, shall not be more than (10 ft). Labels required by this section shall be suitable for the environment where they are installed. <br />(NFPA 70 Art. 690.31(G) (4)) <br />6. Note on plans. Any Structure or building with a PV power system that is not connected to a utility service source and is a stand-alone <br />system shall have a permanent plaque or directory installed on the exterior of the building or structure at a readily visible location <br />acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction. The plaque or directory shall indicate the location of system disconnecting means and that <br />the structure contains a stand-alone electrical power system. The marking shall be in accordance with 690.31(G). (NFPA 70 Sec.VI Art. <br />609.56 (A)) <br />7. Note on plans. Buildings or structures with both utility service and a PV system shall have a permanent plaque or directory providing the <br />location of the service disconnecting means and the PV location. The warning sign(s) or label(s) shall comply with 110.21(B). system <br />disconnecting means if not located at the same location. The warning sign(s) or label(s) shall comply with 110.21(B).
