The informarion in this guideline is intended to help local jurisdiclions and contractors idenriFy when PV system installations
sysrems \\'ill comply wirh rhese simple cri(eria. For projecls rhar fail ro meer rhe simple crireria. resolu(ion sreps have been
sugges(ed ro provide as a parh ro permir approval.

L Site plan showing location of major componenrs on rhe property. This drau ing need nor be exacrly ro scale. bur ir
should represenr relalive location of components aI site (see supplied example site plan). PV arrays on dwellings
wirh a 3' perimerer space ar ridge and sides may nor need separare 6re service review.
2. Electrical diagram showing PV array configuration, wiring system, overcurrent prorecrion. invertet disconnects.
required signs. and ac connec!ion ro building (see supplied srandard electrical diagram).
l. Specification sheets and insrallation manuals (,f available) for all manufactured components including, but not

In order for a Pv system to be considered for an expedited permit prccess, the following must apply:
l. PV modules. utility-interacrive inverlers. and combiner boxes are idenri6ed for use in PV systems

4 The ac inrerconneclion poinr is on rhe load side ol service disconnecring means (690.64(8)).
5 One of rhe sendard elecrrical diagrams (El l,El la,El lb.orEl.lc) can be used ro accurarely represenr rhe PV
sysrem. lnreracrive PDF diagrams are available at www.solarabcs.org/permitting.
Fill out the standard electrtcal diagram cotnpletely. A guide to tlv electricol diagram is provided to help the arylicant
understand each blonh to jll in. II the electicsl system is more compler than the standard electrical diagrarn can elJectieely
