EXPEDITED PER&IIT PROCESS FOR PV SYSTEA,IS
STANDARD STR{NC Si,sTEuI
The Solar America Board for Codes and Srandards (Solar ABCS) Expedired permir pro-

due ro rheir similarity wirh rhe majorlry o[ small-scale pV systems Those sysrems lvirh
unique characrerisrics mav be handled wirh small addirions ro this Expedited permi(
Process or may require much more informarion, depending on rhe uniqueness of the
installation.
The [ollowing pages contain forms lor rhe Srandard Srring Sysrem ro use wirh rhe Expe-
dired permit process. The Micro-lnvertel AC Module, and Supply-Side Connecrion forms
are also available as inreractive PDF files ac www solarabcs.olg/permirring In jurisdic-
tions rhar have adopted lhe Expedited Permir process for pV Sysrems. these forms can
be filled out electronically and submitred in either printed lorm and via email. An elec-
tronic format is used so thar rhe supplied informarion is srandardized and legible for rhe

The informadon in rhis guideline is intended to help local jurisdictions and conrractors identify when PV system installations
arc Simplc, nccding only r basic review and when an installation is more complex. it is likely thar 50%-75% of all resideniial
systems will comply with these sirnpie criteria For projecm ihat fail Lo meet the simple crileria. resolution steps have been
suggested ro provide as a palh b permit approval.
Required InJormdtion for Pe"nit:
1 Site plan showing location of major componenls on rhe proDenv. This drawinq need nor be exaclly to scale. but il
should represent relative location oI components at site (see supplied example site plan). PV afiays on dwellings
