MICRO-INVERTER
The following pages contain forms for the Micro-lnverter to use with rhe Expedited per-
mit Process. The Standard Srring. AC Module, and Supply-Side Connecrion forms
are also available as interactive PDF files at wwwsolarabcs.org/permiBing. In jurisdic-
tions that have adopted the Expedited Permit Process for pV Systems. these forms can
be filled out electronically and submitted in either printed form and via email. An elec-
tronic format is used so rhar rhe supplied informarion is standardized and legible for the
local jurisdiction.

EXPEDITED PERMIT PROCESS FOR PV SYSTEMS - MICRO.INVERTER
The Solar America Board for Codes and Standards (Solar ABCS) Expedited permir pro-
cess provides a means ro differentiate sysrems that can be permitted quickly and easily
due to their similarity with the majoriry of small-scale PV sysrems. Those sysrems with
unique characteristics may be handled with small additions ro this Expedired permit
Process or may require much more information, depending on the uniqueness o[ the
installation.

The inforynaion in rhis guideline is intended ro help local jurisdicrions and conrractors idenrity when pv sysrem installarions
are simple' needing only a basic review and when an installarion is more complex tr is likely thar 50% -lLx of

In order for a Pv s]6tem to be considercd for an expedited permit prccess, the following must apply:I PV modules, uriliry-interacrive inverters, and combiner boxes are identi6ed for use in pV systems.
2. The PV array is composed of 4 series strings or less per inverter.
3. The total inverter capaciry hasa continuous ac power ourput t3.440 Watts orless
4. The ac interconnecrion point is on rhe load side of service disconnecting means (690.64(8)).
5. One of rhe srandard elecrrical diagrams (E l I , E L I a, E 1 I b. or E L I c) can be used ro accurarely represenr rhe pV
system. lnreractive PDF diagrams are available at www.solarabcs.org/permifting.
