Boral Roofing Concrete Roof Tiles comply with ASTM
CI492 as required by Scction I507.3.5 olthc IBC. The roof
tiles are describcd by model. weight. dimensions. and tile
factor in Tables 2 A through 2 I, for cach of the production
locations listed in Section 2.4 of this repon. When installcd
in accordance with this repon on combustible decks, thc
assembly incorporating thc roof tilcs achieve an ASTM E l0ti
Class A rating psr Section 1505.2 of thc IBC and Section
R90l.l ofthe IRC. as applicable. Roof classifications for
adhesively attached systems shall be in accordancc with thc
adhesive manufacturcr's approved rescarch rcport.
This evaluation repon describes thc results of research
carricd out by IAPMO Uniform Evaluation Sen'ice on Boral
Roofing Concrete Roof Tilcs to assess conformancc to thc
codes shown in Scction 1.0 of this report and serves as
documcntation of the product certification. Products arc
manufactured at locations notcd in Section 2.5 of this report
undcr a quality control program with pcriodic inspcction
under the supenision of IAPMO UES.
Shipping pallets are idcntified with the report holder's
name (Boral Roofing). manufacturing addrcss, product
name, installed weight. inspection agency, and evaluation
report numbcr ( ER-412). The Cedarlite 600, Madcra 700
and Madcra 900 tiles are imprinted on the top sidc of each
tile with an "M". all other filed tilcs arc imprintcd with the
name "Boral", "Boral Lifetile". "Monierlif'ctile", or thc
Boral Rooting. or Monierlifetilc or "Vostile" or logo. The
idcntification includes the IAPMO Uniform Evaluation
Service Mark of Confomrity. Either Mark of Conformity
mav be used as shown below:

2.0 PRODLCT USE
2.1 Thc Boral Roofing concrete rooftiles mav be used as a
Class A, B. or C roof covering systcms complying with
Sections 1505.1.1 of thc CBC or R902.1.1 of the CRCI
Scctions 1505.1.2 of the CBC or R902.1.2 ofthe CRC: or
Scctions 1505.1.3 of the CBC or R902.1.1 of the CRC.
respcctively. The design and installation of thc Boral
Roofing concrete roof tilcs shall be in accordance wirh
Sections 1507.3.10 and 15l3 CBC or Section 905.3 ofthe
CRC, as applicablc, and ER-413.
2.2 RoofTilcs shall be installed in accordance with Scctions
1.0 and 4.0 of ER-4ll except, rr'hcre thc building official
rcquires confbrmance to thc CBC or CRC. the tbllowing shall
be substituted:
2.2.1 Undcrlayment shall confomr with CBC Section
1507.l. I or CRC Section 905.1 .l .
2.2.2 Anachment ofthe concretc rooftilcs shall be designed
to resist wind loads according to CBC Sections 1507.3.7
and 1609.5 or CRC Section 905.3. as applicable.
2.3 Boral Roofing concrete roof tiles may be used in "new
buildings located in any Fire Hazard Severity Zone or any
Wildland-Urban lnterlhce Fire Area designated by the
enforcing agency constructed aller the application date shall
comply with the provisions" in accordance with Sections
701A.3 and 705A ofthe CBC. or Sections R337.1.1.1 and
R337.5 of thc CRC, as applicable. and with the IBC as
presented in ER-412.

2.1 Verification shall be provided that a quality assurancc
agcncy audits thc manufacturcrs quality assurance program
and audits the production quality of products, in accordance
with Scction (5)(d) of Florida Rule 6l G20-3.008. The qualiry
assurancc agency shall be approvcd by the Commission (or
the building official whcn thc rcport holder docs not possess
an approval by thc Commission).
2.2 Evaluation to the high-\'elocity hurricanc zone
provisions in Section 1409 of thc FtsC. Building and
Chapter 44 of the FtsC, Rcsidcntial is bcyond thc scope of
