2. DO NOT SCALE DRAWINGS. WRITTEN DIMENSIONS GOVERN PARTITION LOCATIONS.
IN CASE OF CONFLICT, NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT OF RECORD. FLOOR PLAN BY

6. WHEN CONTRACTOR ACCEPTS DELIVERY OF ALL ITEMS NOTED ON PLANS
WHETHER IN CONTRACT OR NOT IN CONTRACT, HE SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
LOSS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THESE ITEMS.
7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN, FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THE WORK, ALL
EXITS, EXIT/ EGRESS LIGHTING, FIRE PROTECTION DEVICES AND ALARMS IN
CONFORMANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE CODES AND ORDINANCES.
8. SAW CUTTING AND CORING LOCATIONS SHALL BE REVIEWED IN FIELD AND
COORDINATED WITH THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO CUTTING/CORING.
9. DURING ALL PHASES OF WORK, DO NOT DISTURB THE DELIVERIES AND FUNCTIONS
OF ADJACENT AND NEIGHBORING TENANTS.
10. 'TYP.' MEANS THAT THE CONDITION IS REPRESENTATIVE FOR SIMILAR CONDITIONS
THROUGHOUT, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
11. PROVIDE PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHER(S) IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 10, WITH
U.L. LABEL AND A RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 2-A WITH 75 FT. TRAVEL DISTANCE TO
ALL POSITIONS OF RESTAURANT OR AS DIRECTED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FIELD
INSPECTOR. PROVIDE CLASS K FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITHIN 20 FT. OF COMMERCIAL
FOOD HEAT-PROCESSING EQUIPMENT.
12. EXTERIOR BUILDING SIGNS SHALL BE SUBMITTED UNDER SEPARATE PERMIT
APPLICATION FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL AS REQUIRED BY LOCAL AUTHORITIES.
EXTERIOR SIGNS ARE NOT WITHIN THE SCOPE OF BUILDING DEPARTMENT
APPROVAL.
13. PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK - OBTAIN A COPY OF THE BUILDING
CONSTRUCTION PERMIT FROM THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION (AHJ) AND A
COPY OF THE SET OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SIGNED AND SEALED BY A
LICENSED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL FOR ALL DISCIPLINES AS REQUIRED AND USED
TO OBTAIN THE BUILDING PERMIT.
14. IF REQUIRED BY LOCAL JURISDICTION - SPRINKLER, LIFE SAFETY, AND FIRE ALARM
SYSTEMS ARE TO BE DESIGNED AND SUBMITTED FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL BY
LOCALLY LICENSED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL. THE DESIGN OF SYSTEM(S) MUST
COMPLY TO LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL CODES.
15. BIDDERS REFER TO WENDY'S APPROVED SUPPLIER LIST TO OBTAIN NATIONAL
ACCOUNT PHONE NUMBERS AND CONTACTS.
16. GC IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FINDING AND LOCATING ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES IN
AREAS OF EXCAVATION PRIOR TO DIGGING. ACCIDENTAL INTERRUPTION OF THESE
SERVICES DURING CONSTRUCTION WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GC.
PRIOR TO DIGGING, GC TO CALL LOCAL UTILITY LOCATION SERVICE.
17. IF THERE IS ARE CONFLICTING DETAILS ON PLANS THE MORE COSTLY METHOD IS
TO BE COMPLETED
18. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO PROVIDE AND INCLUDE ACCESS PATH AS

1. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS:
LOCATIONS AND CLASSIFICATIONS OF EXTINGUISHERS TO BE DETERMINED
2. STREET ADDRESS MUST BE PROVIDED ON THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING, PLAINLY
VISIBLE FROM ROADWAY WHICH BUILDING IS ADDRESSED. NUMBERS MUST BE OF A
COLOR WHICH CONTRASTS WITH THEIR BACKGROUND.
3. PROVIDE IDENTIFICATION FOR ALL UNITS OR SUITES. SUCH IDENTIFICATION SHALL
ALSO BE PROVIDED ON ALL UTILITY SHUT OFF DEVICES.
4. NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION, STANDARD 25, CHAPTER 4 REQUIRES
ALL PRIVATE HYDRANT SYSTEMS TO BE SERVICED ANNUALLY TO ENSURE PROPER
OPERATING FUNCTIONING. SERVICE SHALL INCLUDE LUBRICATING HYDRANTS
ANNUALLY TO KEEP ALL STEMS, CAPS, PLUGS, ANT THREADS IN PROPER
OPERATING CONDITION. HYDRANTS SHALL BE KEPT FREE OF MATERIALS AND
PROTECTED AGAINST MECHANICAL DAMAGE SO THAT FREE ACCESS IS ENSURED.
THE SERVICE, AND ANY NECESSARY REPAIRS, ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
PROPERTY OWNER.
5. PRIVATE FIRE HYDRANTS, SPRINKLER CONTROL AND POST INDICATOR VALVES,
RISERS AND FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTIONS SHALL BE PAINTED OSHA SAFETY

6. MAIN EXIT DOORS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH A DURABLE SIGN OF ONE INCH (1")
LETTERS ON CONTRASTING BACKGROUND INDICATING, "THIS DOOR IS TO REMAIN
UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED NOTE: ONLY ONE DOOR OR SET OF
DOORS MAY BE DESIGNATED AS THE MAIN EXIT.
7. ADDITIONAL EXIT DOORS SHALL BE OPERABLE FROM THE INSIDE WITHOUT THE USE
OF A KEY OR ANY SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE OR EFFORT (SINGLE ACTION).
8. AN AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM IS REQUIRED BY CITY ORDINANCE. UNDER

ALARM CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A COPY OF A MAINTENANCE CONTRACT

9. THE NAMES, ADDRESSES AND TELEPHONE NUMBERS OF THE BUILDING OWNERS(S),
MANAGEMENT COMPANY, EMERGENCY CONTACTS AND MANAGER(S) MUST BE
PROVIDED TO THE FIRE INSPECTOR NO LATER THAN THE FINAL FIRE INSPECTION.
10. AN INSPECTION BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO OCCUPANCY.
CONTACT INSPECTOR TO SCHEDULE THE INSPECTION. NOTE: FAILURE TO CALL FOR
YOUR INSPECTION IS A VIOLATION OF THE CALIFORNIA FIRE CODE AND MAY RESULT

11. FIRE SAFETY DURING CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION OR DEMOLITION OF A BUILDING

3302.3 FIRE SAFETY DURING CONSTRUCTION
FIRE SAFETY DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL COMPLY WITH THE APPLICABLE
REQUIREMENTS OF THIS CODE AND THE APPLICABLE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 33 OF THE
CALIFORNIA FIRE CODE.
3305.1 FACILITIES REQUIRED
SANITARY FACILITIES SHALL BE PROVIDED DURING CONSTRUCTION, REMODELING OR
DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CALIFORNIA PLUMBING CODE.
SECTION 3312 AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM
3312.1 COMPLETION BEFORE OCCUPANCY
IN BUILDINGS WHERE AN AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM IS REQUIRED BY THIS CODE, IT
SHALL BE UNLAWFUL TO OCCUPY ANY PORTION OF A BUILDING OR STRUCTURE UNTIL
THE AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM INSTALLATION HAS BEEN TESTED AND APPROVED,
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SECTION 111.3.
3312.2 OPERATION OF VALVES
OPERATION OF SPRINKLER CONTROL VALVES SHALL BE PERMITTED ONLY BY PROPERLY
AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL AND SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED BY NOTIFICATION OF DULY
DESIGNATED PARTIES. WHEN THE SPRINKLER PROTECTION IS BEING REGULARLY TURNED
OFF AND ON TO FACILITATE CONNECTION OF NEWLY COMPLETED SEGMENTS, THE
SPRINKLER CONTROL VALVES SHALL BE CHECKED AT THE END OF EACH WORK PERIOD

(FOG) Control Program Rules and Regulations as identified in Ordinance NS-2921 and as follows:
No improvements are required at this time. This FSE qualifies for at least one of the following
condition(s):
The proposed FSE’s FOG discharges are projected to be negligible and will not likely cause a significant
impact to the sewer system, or;
The proposed remodeling work does not increase the current amount of FOG generated, or;
