Earthquake Hazard Reduction - time extension
Subject property address 1408 N. Main, Santa Ana
Based on the recormendation of the Seismic Safety Cormittee, which was created severa.l
months ago by the Santa Ana City Council for the purpose of reviering ordinance No.
t{S-1518 entitled "Earthquake Hazard Reduction in Existing Buildings," the City Manager
of the Clty of Santa Ana, on July 13, 1981, granted a sixty (60) day extension of time
in order for the owners and persons ln apparent charge or control of buildings which
fall rithin the Class II ('High Risk") category, to submit the required structural
analysis to the City of Santa Ana.
As a result, the due date for the structural analysis an( plans, if necessary, for the
buildlng at the above address has been extended until September !3. 1981 . If such
analysls and plans are not submitted by this date, the City's Director of Build'i n9 :
Safety has the authority to order the entire building vacated until all required analysei
and structural alterations have been completed.

The ordinance requires that the building owner provjde a structural analysis
within 270 days of the notjficatjon.
