The informarion in this guideline is intended ro help local jurisdicrions and conrracbrs idendfy when Pv system installations
are simple, needing only a basic review and when an insrallation is more complex. lr is likely rhar 50%-75% of all residenrial
systems will comply with rhese simple criteria. For projects that fail to meer rhe simple crireria. resolution steps have been
suggested ro provide as a parh to permit approval.
Required InJormation for Perfiit:
l. Site plan showing location of major components on the property. This drawing need not be exactly to scale, but it
should represent relative location of componenrs ar sire (see supplied example sire plan). PV arrays on dwellings
with a 3 perimeler space at ridge and sides may not need separate hre service review.
2. Electrical diagram showing PV array configuration, wiring system, overcurrent protecrion, inverte( disconnects,
required signs, and ac connecrion to building (see supplied slandard electrical diagram).
3. SPecihcation shees and installation manuals (if available) for all manufacrured componenrs including, bu( nor
limited to, PV modules, inverter(s), combiner box, disconnecrs, and mounring system.

In order for a PV slrstem to be consldercd for an exp€dlted permit procesq the followtnS must apply:
l. PV modules, utility-interactive invcners, and combiner boxes are identihed for use in PV systems.
2. The PV array is composed of 4 series strings or less per inve(er
5. The total inverter capacity has a conrinuous ac power ourput 13.440 Wafts or less
4. The ac interconnecrion point is on rhe load side of service disconnecting means (690.64(8)).
