The Solar America Board for Codes and Srandards (Solar ABCS) Expedired permir pro-
cess provides a means to difFerentiate systems ahar can be permitted quickly and easily
due to rheir similariry wirh rhe maJonry of smalFscale pV systems. Those systems wlth
unique characreristics mav be handled with small additions ro rhis Expedired permir
Process or may require much more informarion, depending on the uniqueness of the
insraliarion.
The lollowing pages conraln forms [or rhe Srandard Stnng Sysrem ro use wirh rhe Expe-
dited Permit Process. The Micro-lnverrer, AC Module, and Supply-Side Conneccion forms
are also available as interactive PDF files ar w\ /w.solarabcs.olg/permirring In jurisdic-
rions thar have adopred rhe Expedired Permir Process for pV Sysrems. these forms can
be filled our electronically and submitted in either printed form and via email. An elec,
tronic format is used so rhar rhe supplied informarion is srandardizecl and legible for rhe
local jurisdiction.

Ihe information in this guideline is intended to help local jurisd ictions and con[racrors idenrify when PV s]stem insrallarrons
are srmple. needrng only a basic revieu and when an installallon is more complex lr ls hkely rhat 50*-75 % of all resrdenrial
sys(ems will comply with these simple cri(efla. For projecrs that farl to meer rhe simple criteria. resolurion steps have been
suggested to provide as a path lo permit approval.
