THE LATCH TO BE MINIMUM 4.5 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND. 3.THE CONSTRUCTION SHALL NOT RESTRICT A FIVE-FOOT CLEAR AND UNOBSTRUCTED ACCESS TO ANY WATER OR POWER DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES (POWER POLES, PULL-BOXES, TRANSFORMERS, VAULTS, PUMPS, VALVES, METERS, APPURTENANCES, ETC) OR TO THE LOCATION OF THE HOOK-UP. THE CONSTRUCTION SHALL NOT BE WITHIN TEN FEET OF ANY POWER LINES-WHETHER OR NOT THE LINES ARE LOCATED ON THE PROPERTY. THE MAXIMUM VERTICAL CLEARANCE BETWEEN GRADE AND THE BOTTOM OF THE BARRIER SHALL BE 2 INCHES MEASURED ON THE SIDE OF THE BARRIER THAT FACES AWAY FROM THE SWIMMING POOL. THE GATE SHALL OPEN OUTWARD AWAY FROM THE POOL AND SHALL BE SELF-CLOSING AND HAVE A SELF-LATCHING DEVICE. THE LATCH SHALL BE LOCATED A MINIMUM 54 INCHES ABOVE THE GROU 3109.4.1.7, 6109(A) 6.PROVIDE AN ALARM FOR DOORS TO THE DWELLING THAT FORM A PART OF THE POOL ENCLOSURE. THE ALARM SHALL PROVIDE AN AUDIBLE WARNING WHEN THE DOOR OR ITS SCREEN, IF PRESENT, ARE OPENED. THE ALARM(S) SHALL BE LISTED AND LABELED IN ACCORDANCE WITH UL 2017 AND INDEPENDENTLY CERTIFIED TO THE ASTM STANDARD F2208.
