EXPEDITED PERMIT PROCESS FOR SMALL-SCALE PV SYSTE,MS
AC MODULE
The informarion ln this guideline is inrended to help local JUrisdictions and contractors identily when PV system installarions
are simple. needing only a basic review, and when an installarion is more complex. lt is likely that 50%-75% of all residenrial
systems will comply wilh these simple criteria. For projects that fail to meet the simple criteria, resolution steps have been
suggesred ro provide as a path to permit approval.
Required Information Jor Perlnit:
l. Site plan showing locarion of major components on the properry. This drawing need not be exactly to scale. but it
should represenr relative location of components at site (see supplied example site plan). PV arrays on dwellings
with a 3' perimerer space at ridge and sides may not need separate frre service review.
2 Elecrrical diagram showing PV array conhguration, wiring system, overcurrenr prorecrion, inverter. disconnects,
required signs. and ac connecrion ro building (see supplied standard elecrrical diagram).
f. Specihcation sheets and installation manuals (if available) for all manufactured components including, bur not
limited to. PV modules, inverter(s), combiner box, disconnects. and mounting sysrem.
