All metal parts of a sign shall be bonded in the manner specified in Article 250. Isolated metal parts are permitted to be bonded by using an external green insulated conductor. Equipment grounding & bonding conductors must be sized by 110.26 and protected from physical damage. Minimum size is 14 AWG. CEC 600.7 3. A listed disconnect switch in the power supply primary, shall be installed within sight of sign or have permanently installed means for locking in an "OFF" position. This is also true for a transformer enclosure. CEC 600.6 4. A listed receptacle or an approved termination device shall be used for each neon electrode. To relieve stress at terminations, tubing shall be supported with listed tube supports in an approved manner within six inches of electrode connection. CEC 600.41 & 600.42 5. Every electric sign of any type shall be listed by an approved testing laboratory and shall be installed in conformance with this listing. That includes "l of x", "2 of x" labeling for each separate unit of a multi-unit sign. CEC 600.3 6. All "can" letters and transformers housings shall have section labels that are readily visible after installation. CEC 600.4 7.
