Inverter Calculations
Each Inverter has the following values which are calculated following these formulas:
Inverter X:
Load)(690.8(B)(1))
[((Temp Coef Voc) x (Voc)) / 100] x (Low Temp - STC Temp) + Voc
* (# Modules / String)
Inverter Powerwall 3 1707000-xx-y
Inverter Overcurrent Protection:
(Inverter(s) Max Combined Current) x (Continous Load) =
48 A X 1.25+40 = 100 A → 100 A OVERCURRENT PROTECTION USING PCS
Wire Calculations
Wire ampacity calculated from 310.15(B)(16) & (17) as appropriate with ambient temperature
calculations from 310.15(B)(3)(c) and raceway fill adjustments from 310.15(B)(3)(a). Conduit on
the roof shall be installed no less than 1" above the roof deck. PV Circuit conductor ampacity is
constrained using the 75°C column with the continuous duty uprating or the 90°C column with the
relevant ambient temperature and raceway fill adjustments without the continuous duty uprating
per 690.8(B), whichever results with a larger wire size. Non-PV Circuit Conductors use the
ampacity in the 75°C column or the 90°C column with the relevant ambient temperature and
raceway fill adjustments, whichever is less (110.14(C) & 310.15(A)(2)). The rating of the conductor
after adjustments shall be greater than, or equal to, the continuous duty uprated current.
Calc Ex: Wire Ampacity x Ambient Temp. Corr. Factor x Conduit Fill Adj. Factor >= Output Current

POWERWALL
Backup Gateway
The Backup Gateway for Tesla Powerwall provides energy management
and monitoring for solar self -consumption, time -based control, and
backup.
The Backup Gateway controls connection to the grid, automatically
detecting outages and providing a seamless transition to backup
power. When equipped with a circuit breaker, the Backup Gateway can
be installed at the service entrance.
The Backup Gateway communicates directly with Powerwall, allowing
you to monitor energy use and manage backup energy reserves from
any mobile device with the Tesla app.

Powerwall 3
Power Everything
2024
—
Powerwall 3 is a fully integrated solar and battery system, designed to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. Customers
can receive whole home backup, cost savings, and energy independence by producing and consuming their own energy while
participating in grid services. Once installed, customers can manage their system using the Tesla App to customize system
behavior to meet their energy goals.
Powerwall 3 achieves this by supporting up to 20 kW DC of solar and providing 11.5 kW AC of continuous power per unit. It has
the ability to start heavy loads up to 185 A LRA, meaning a single unit can support the power needs of most homes. Powerwall 3
is designed for mass production, fast and efcient installations, easy system expansion, and simple connection to any electrical
service.

From time to time, Sunrun Inc. (we, us or Company) may be required by law to provide to you
certain written notices or disclosures. Described below are the terms and conditions for providing
to you such notices and disclosures electronically through the DocuSign, Inc. (DocuSign)

AND THOROUGHLY, AND IF YOU CAN ACCESS THIS INFORMATION
ELECTRONICALLY TO YOUR SATISFACTION AND AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS, PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR AGREEMENT BY CLICKING THE 'I AGREE'

At any time, you may request from us a paper copy of any record provided or made available
electronically to you by us. You will have the ability to download and print documents we send
to you through the DocuSign system during and immediately after signing session and, if you
elect to create a DocuSign signer account, you may access them for thirty (30) days after such

and then wait until we receive back from you your acknowledgment of your receipt of such
paper notices or disclosures. To indicate to us that you are changing your mind, you must
withdraw your consent using the DocuSign ‘Withdraw Consent’ form on the signing page of a
DocuSign envelope instead of signing it. This will indicate to us that you have withdrawn your
consent to receive required notices and disclosures electronically from us and you will no longer
be able to use the DocuSign system to receive required notices and consents electronically from
us or to sign electronically documents from us.
All notices and disclosures will be sent to you electronically
Unless you tell us otherwise in accordance with the procedures described herein, we will provide
electronically to you through the DocuSign system all required notices, disclosures,
authorizations, acknowledgements, and other documents that are required to be provided or made
available to you during the course of our relationship with you. To reduce the chance of you
inadvertently not receiving any notice or disclosure, we prefer to provide all of the required
notices and disclosures to you by the same method and to the same address that you have given
us. Thus, you can receive all the disclosures and notices electronically or in paper format through
the paper mail delivery system. If you do not agree with this process, please let us know as
described below. Please also see the paragraph immediately above that describes the
consequences of your electing not to receive delivery of the notices and disclosures
electronically from us.
