One full unobstructed side of the clear floor or ground space shall adjoin an accessible route or adjoin
another clear floor or ground space. Clear floor or ground space may overlap an accessible route, unless
specifically prohibited elsewhere in this chapter.

At least one companion seat complying with Section 11B-802.3 shall be provided immediately adjacent to
each wheelchair space required by Section 11B-221.2.1.

spaces. The shoulder alignment point of the wheelchair space shall be measured 36 inches (914 mm) from

as the floor surface of the wheelchair space.

Most unpackaged food facilities need 32 linear feet of storage shelving-a total of 96 running
feet is required in lieu of 32 linear feet.
Shelving must be 18” wide to count as a linear or running foot.
We will count shelving that is over 18” wide as additional storage. For example, if we have 24”
wide shelves, we will add an extra 1/3 to the storage count.
On the other hand, shelving narrower than 18” will be counted as less than a running foot. For
example, 12” wide shelving would be counted as 2/3 a running foot.

Floor Sheathing Specifications: ¾: thick Plywood
Floor sheathing (3/4″ plywood, span rating 32/16) is adequate for 16″ o.c. joist spacing under 60 psf live
load. Anchor withdrawal and shear checks are satisfied, with edge distance and spacing requirements
met. Anchors penetrate through the sheathing into 2×8 DF No.2 joists, providing 2–4″ embedment within
withdrawal design tables and below the joist thickness limit. Maximum available embedment length is
6.5″. Anchor loads are confirmed to transfer into joist framing, not sheathing alone. Therefore, the
sheathing is acceptable for supporting fixed seating anchors
