NOTES
1.NOTE: Building or Other Structure Supplied by a Photovoltaic System. Means shall be provided to Disconnect all ungrounded dc conductors
of a PV system from all other conductors in a building or other structure. (NFPA 70 Art. 690.13)
2. Note on plans. Each PV system disconnecting means shall be permanently marked to identify it as a PV system disconnect. (NFPA 70 Art.
690 13 (B))
3. Note on plans. Means shall be provided to disconnect equipment, such as inverters, batteries, and charge controllers, from all ungrounded
conductors of all sources. If the equipment is energized from more than one source, the disconnecting means shall be grouped and identified.
(NFPA 70 Art.690.15)
4. Note on plans. Where dc PV source or dc PV output circuits from Building integrated systems or other PV systems are run inside a building
or structure, they shall be contained in metal raceways, Type MC metal-clad cable that complies with 250.118(10), or metal enclosures from
the point of penetration of the surface of the building or structure to the first readily NOTE:The following wiring methods and enclosures
that contain PV power source conductors shall be marked with the wording WARNING: PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER SOURCE by means of
permanently affixed labels or other approved permanent marking: (1) Exposed raceways, cable trays, and other wiring methods (2) Covers or
enclosures of pull boxes and junction boxes (3) Conduit bodies in which any of the available conduit openings are unused (NFPA 70 Art.
690.31(G) (3))
5.NOTE:The labels or markings shall be visible after installation. The labels shall be reflective, and all letters shall be Capitalized and
shall be a minimum height of (3⁄ 8 in.) in White on a red background. PV power circuit labels shall appear on every section of the wiring
system that is separated by enclosures, walls, partitions, ceilings, or floors. Spacing between labels or markings, or between a label and a
marking, shall not be more than (10 ft). Labels required by this section shall be suitable for the environment where they are installed.
(NFPA 70 Art. 690.31(G) (4))
6. Note on plans. Any Structure or building with a PV power system that is not connected to a utility service source and is a stand-alone
system shall have a permanent plaque or directory installed on the exterior of the building or structure at a readily visible location
acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction. The plaque or directory shall indicate the location of system disconnecting means and that
the structure contains a stand-alone electrical power system. The marking shall be in accordance with 690.31(G). (NFPA 70 Sec.VI Art.
609.56 (A))
7. Note on plans. Buildings or structures with both utility service and a PV system shall have a permanent plaque or directory providing the
location of the service disconnecting means and the PV location. The warning sign(s) or label(s) shall comply with 110.21(B). system
disconnecting means if not located at the same location. The warning sign(s) or label(s) shall comply with 110.21(B). NOTE: No piping, ducts or
equipment foreign to electrical equipment shall be permitted to be located within the dedicated space above the electrical
equipment.(110.26(f)) NOTE: FIRE CODE REFLECTS UPDATES FROM INTERVENING CODE CYCLE, EFFECTIVE 1 JULY 2018. FIRE SETBACKS AND
PATHWAYS COMPLY WITH IRC R324.6.1, R324.6.2, R324.7.2.6, AND IFC 1204.2.1.1, 1204.2.1.2, AND 1204.2.1.3

9.NOTE:Roof access, pathways, and spacing requirements shall be provided in accordance with Sections 1204.2.1 through 1204.3.3. Pathways
shall be over areas capable of supporting fire fighters accessing the roof. Pathways shall be located in areas with minimal obstructions,
such as vent pipes, conduit or mechanical equipment
10.NOTE:Interior pathways. Interior pathways shall be provided between array sections to meet the following requirements NOTE:1204.3.3
Smoke ventilation. The solar installation shall be designed to meet the following requirements: 1. Where non-gravity-operated smoke and heat
vents occur, a pathway not less than 4 feet (1219 mm) wide shall be provided bordering all sides.

This Letter is for the existing roof framing which supports the new PV modules as well as the attachment of the PV
system to existing roof framing. From the field observation report, the roof is made of Tile roofing over roof
plywood supported by 2X6 Rafters at 24 inches. The slope of the roof was approximated to be 18 degrees.
After review of the field observation data and based on our structural capacity calculation, the existing roof
framing has been determined to be adequate to support the imposed loads without structural upgrades.
Contractor shall verify that existing framing is consistent with the described above before install. Should they find
any discrepancies, a written approval from SEOR is mandatory before proceeding with install. Capacity
calculations were done in accordance with applicable building codes.

Limits of Scope of Work and Liability
The increase in seismic Dead weight as a result of the solar system is less than 10% of the existing structure and
therefore no further seismic analysis is required.
We have based our structural capacity determination on information in pictures and a drawing set titled PV plans -
Armenian Cultural Center. The analysis was according to applicable building codes, professional engineering and
design experience, opinions and judgments. The calculations produced for this Structure's assessment are only for
the proposed solar panel installation referenced in the stamped plan set and were made according to generally
recognized structural analysis standards and procedures.
