RE: Santa Ana EOS Fitness Fan Mounting
The MacroAir manual states that the fan is to be mounted with Unistrut on joists at eight feet on
center. We understand that this EOS fitness has joists at ten feet on center. The attached
calculation shows that in order to maintain equivalent bending moment in the Unistrut the fan
must be mounted outside of the middle 4.5 feet of the span.

This letter is to confirm the acceptable use of the MacroAir Airvolution-D3 fan on joist spacings

Therefore it is acceptable to mount this fan on joists spaced ten feet on center so lono as the
fan is mounted outside of the middle 4.5 feet of the Unistrut soan.
