Wire ampacity calculated from CEC 310.16/310.17 as appropriate with ambient temperature
calculations from CEC 310.15(B)(1)(1) and raceway fill adjustments from CEC 310.15(C)(1).
Conduit on the roof shall be installed no less than 1" above the roof deck. PV Circuit conductor
ampacity is constrained using the 75°C column with the continuous duty uprating or the 90°C
column with the relevant ambient temperature and raceway fill adjustments without the continuous
duty uprating per 690.8(B), whichever is the lower value will govern conductor sizing. Non-PV
Circuit Conductors use the ampacity in the 75°C column or the 90°C column with the relevant
ambient temperature and raceway fill adjustments, whichever is less (110.14(C) & 310.15(A)(2)).
The rating of the conductor after adjustments shall be greater than, or equal to, the continuous
duty uprated current.

POWERWALL
Backup Gateway
The Backup Gateway for Tesla Powerwall provides energy management
and monitoring for solar self -consumption, time -based control, and
backup.
The Backup Gateway controls connection to the grid, automatically
detecting outages and providing a seamless transition to backup
power. When equipped with a circuit breaker, the Backup Gateway can
be installed at the service entrance.
The Backup Gateway communicates directly with Powerwall, allowing
you to monitor energy use and manage backup energy reserves from
any mobile device with the Tesla app.

Powerwall 3
Power Everything
2024
—
Powerwall 3 is a fully integrated solar and battery system, designed to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. Customers
can receive whole home backup, cost savings, and energy independence by producing and consuming their own energy while
participating in grid services. Once installed, customers can manage their system using the Tesla App to customize system
behavior to meet their energy goals.
Powerwall 3 achieves this by supporting up to 20 kW DC of solar and providing 11.5 kW AC of continuous power per unit. It has
the ability to start heavy loads up to 185 A LRA, meaning a single unit can support the power needs of most homes. Powerwall 3
is designed for mass production, fast and efcient installations, easy system expansion, and simple connection to any electrical
service.

Contractor Company Name:
Contractor License Number:
YES NO Are the following applicable to the proposed project?
1. Will the PV system layout provide the required three-foot wide clear access pathways
per Section 605.11 of the California Fire Code, and is this shown on the roof plan?
2. Will the PV system be installed on a roof having only one roofing layer with no
overlays?
3. Will the PV array be flush mounted to the existing roof so that the plane of the
modules (panels) are parallel to the plane of the roof?
4. Will the PV system weigh maximum 4 pounds per square feet or less?
5. Will the PV system be installed where the modules do not overhang any roof edges
(such as eaves, gabled ends, ridges and hips)?
6. Will the PV system be installed with a space of 2” minimum to 10” maximum between
the underside of modules and the surface of the roof?
7. Will the PV system be installed without using any ballast system or counter-weight
system?
8. Will the anchors be installed with a maximum horizontal anchor spacing of 6 feet
and is this maximum horizontal spacing shown on the plans?
9. Will the minimum 5/16” lag screws be installed with a minimum of 2-1/2 inch

Subject: Structural Certification for Proposed Residential Solar Installation.
Job Number: 109R-306POBO2; Rev A
Client: JAMES POBOG
Address: 2306 W Manly Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92704
Attn: To Whom It May Concern Signed on: 4/28/2026
A Sunrun representative has gathered site information on this structure in preparation for this permit application. A structural load evaluation
has been completed which compares the loads before and after the panel installation. For this structure, the calculated maximum roof load
after PV panel installation is less than the gravity and lateral load analysis triggers as set forth in the IEBC.
Based on an exterior inspection, this structure is performing adequately under the current loading. Prior to installation of the solar PV system,
a Sunrun representative will confirm that the attic roof framing has no unsafe or dangerous conditions present. Any localized items requiring
repair will be addressed as a part of the installation by the installing contractor and prior to installation.
Structural evaluation of the loading is based on the applicable design criteria listed below.
Design Criteria:
• 2025 CBC/CEBC, 7-22 ASCE & 2024 NDS
• Basic (Category II) Wind Speed V=95 mph, Exposure B
• Ground Snow Load = 3 psf
Based on this evaluation, I certify that the alteration to the existing structure by installation of the PV system meets the requirements of the
applicable existing building code provisions adopted/referenced above. Additionally, the PV module assembly and hardware supporting it have
been designed according to manufacturer's specifications per the loading criteria referenced above.
Installer shall inspect the existing roof framing to verify it is in suitable condition and does not exhibit signs of damage which may diminish the
capacity of its members or connections. If damage exists, the installer shall notify the engineer of record prior for guidance to proceeding with
installation.
